celebrating raya

The night morning crackers
The sound of thundering call
The dark night brightens up in the sky
Some just can't sleep at night

They forget others need beauty sleep
The holidays of Raya emerges in the dawn light
The morning call to prayers to the faithfuls
The neighbour's chihuahua barking loudly

The dreams just exited
There is none to come by in the night
The fire-crackers blossom in the dark
Chasing the evil away......

Somewhere in the old
The Hungry Ghosts venture forth
Into the freedom to laze around
The old memories of places and towns

The morning sky blazes bright
The colours of life light up the stage
The political differences put on hold
As people celebrate the Raya
