the new town

The businesses flourish
In the night of the new town
Once it was empty
Even offering free rentals
There was no taker
Many shied away to do business
The empty shoplots were left alone
The dark shadow in the night

Once the college students came
The shoplots became alive
Many flocked to rent the shoplots
Opening up business
Then the university enrolment
The student population swelled
The food and printing business flourished
Rentals going up too

Once it was an easy drive there
Now at night the many cars parked
With motorcycles and bicycles in rows
The student population make the business flow
The rows of tables and chairs
Lining on the public road
Safety takes a second bet
As the road isn't closed

The fast food chains hit the town
KFC, Pizza Hut, Mcdonald, Dominoes
Nasi Kandar restaurants, cafes, Taiwan food
The new town seems to have it in stock
All for the students population

The International school coming up
By next year the building will be completed
New housing schemes being built
A new hospital will be coming into view

The old mining town
The taste of new life
A second chance to grow
For a town where tin built
