now the circles come to him

HEAVY DUTY WHEELCHAIR

Too many on the plate
The man can't decide
He used to manipulate his way
Now the circle comes to him

The man stares at the window
The clear blue sky holds no clue
He has gone with many lies....
Now the circle comes to him

He wants to set his record straight
The decades gone too deep in the hole
He just can't decide many on the plate
As he ponders on his fate....

Too many on the plate
The man can't decide
He has gone with many lies
Now the circle comes to him

Old age brings the knocks
He finds it hard to get up again
The man stares at the window
The clear blue sky holds no clue

The years of telling lies
When he was young
He could fool around
Pick the choices he found

He recalled with a groan
Even through his old age
He hasn't learned his mistakes
He still goes after the sweet young thing

Like the playboy founder
He picked his women....
He enjoys them like no tomorrow
Until he decides he wants a permanency

He wheeled away tears may fall
As he realized the decades gone
What did do right all those years?
He couldn't say only with his money

He chuckled to himself
“Sure I make the grade
With business and women
And wealth to empower me”

Then he looked at himself
Wheelchair bound weak in body and soul
Where did he do wrong?

He rung the bell
The nurse came
“What you want?”
He only stared at her

He knew money could do
Certain privileges in life
When one was weak in body and soul
What empowerment he had got?

He knew he had suffered
Maybe he had to pay for his sins
The decades of lies and cheating
As he slowly said in his soft voice

“I need a wash
And a bath and a shave
You think you can help me?”
“You can do it yourself”

“I am on wheelchair
Can't you help me?”
“You have to learn
You aren't invalid totally”

“When I was young
I could do many things
Maybe I could bring you to bed”
The nurse laughed at him

“You aren't young any more
Even if you have all the money
It can't help you now can it?”
He kept quiet angry eyes

He swallowed his pride
“Please nurse help me get through with it
It is my sinful act those decades ago.......
Show some pity for a wheelchair man”

The nurse stood her ground
Looking at him with her brown eyes
“You have to learn by yourself
You can't depend on others every time”

He wheeled his way
Grumpy mood talking to himself
“Useless nurse! Stupid nurse!
Good for nothing nurse! No soul nurse!

The nurse ignored his tirades
She saw him wheeled his chair
Right into the bathroom.....
“It isn't that difficult is it?”

He banged the door
He wanted to show his displeasure
But he knew he couldn't do much
He had to learn though painful as it was

Then he poked his head out
“I know who you are nurse
You thought I didn't know
I saw you grew till today”

“What are you talking?”
“You know what I was saying
You came here to teach me lessons
Of what I did years ago”

“You better learn
You don't expect favors
Though on wheelchair
You still can move around”

The nurse walked out from the room
She knew she had no right to treat him this way
“What to do he treated his only daughter badly
All those years ago while he was riding high in society”

She walked quickly to her station
She didn't want to know that he knew
“Maybe my mother sent him photographs
Yet he never acknowledged her........”

She recalled the marriage photographs
Two young lovers splashing themselves
The high society and the evening balls
After one year he dumped her mother

When she left him
She was pregnant with her
She didn't tell a soul
Even her former husband

Dumped as she was
She stood her ground
She earned her way
Though she dreamed

The romance and the evening balls
It was a sadness she used to tell
A man who forgot about responsibilities
He used women like toilet papers

Many broken hearted women
They sold their stories got paid for it
The high society man ignored the pages
He carried on as if he owned it all

She sat on the chair
Trying hard to concentrate
“Are you alright nurse?”
The old doctor came by

“Oh I was alright
Thinking about family tales
Nothing really wrong with me doc”
“Really nurse?”

“I knew your mother
I knew the wheeled chair guy
I also delivered you in this hospital
So I knew about family tales”

“Oh I am sorry
So you knew he is my father”
“I know him very well
We grew up together”

The nurse picked up her ears
The family tales becoming interesting?
She smile to the older doctor
“I didn't know the connection”

“Put it this way
He donated a lot to this hospital
He wanted to pay for his sinful ways
He tried his best to turn around....

As age caught up with him
He always says he loves your mother
He couldn't know why he let her go
He regretted his action to this day

And he is my brother
In case you are wondering
I am too your uncle
Now you can figure”

“Oh shit!
Now I knew
You put me there
To see how I react with him?”

“Something like that
You haven't seen close
He knows about you
Every detail of your life”

“You must be kind to him
He knows he had done wrong
He doesn't need your angry words
Just show him you are his daughter”

The older doctor walked away
Tears falling from his eyes
He hoped he could patch up the years
The father and his daughter

The nurse sat
Thinking about the years
The mother silence
The story stayed
