Dengue fever
On the rise in the hot weather
Picking on the wrong time
Of our nation's leaders dance
They kept their minds
Watching how the religious bigots played
Working from behind the wall
They thought the public were stupid
The police split hairs
The act of court ignored
The blaming games came along
The held it out as long as they could
Dengue fever rises
The hospitals catered for it
The districts put on alert
The aedes mosquitoes buzzing around
What did God say?
“Don't play with me
My name should be shared
No race can claim its own”
Now what we read and hear?
The dengue fever rising in the wards
Telling the leaders no more playing games
it is time to do serious work
