We
are the monkeys
Once
we ruled the forest
Living
free with peaceful coexistence
Enjoying
the benefits of Nature
The
cool windy days of light
The
big leaves and shady leaves
Blended
in to protect the smaller creatures
In
the forest lives have a meaningful play
Until
the sound of tractors and human voices
They
came with maps promising new horizon
Only
we knew what we had lost then
The
uneven trapping of lies, greed and corruption
We
are the monkeys
We
were bought and caged
Tracked
out to the civilized world
Of
the ills of society and hate
We
can't move we are in chained
We
begin to learn the unfairness of it
We
make noises but nobody pays heed to us
They
poked fun at our silly antics
Jumping
around doing somersaults
They
just throw peanuts and bananas
We
knew we were fooled into the traps
We
are the monkeys
Crying
in our eyes and minds
Nobody
cares to look at our way
The
long track of our homeland
The
forest of green and Nature sings
The
calling of home
The
sound of wind..
We
can only listen
When
will it be our turn?
The
freedom of Nature
The
swinging from tree to tree
We
are the monkeys
We
don't get our rights
We
are caged and chained
We
can do our antics
Waiting
for the day
We
will smell the freedom
This
is the life now
We
will wait for the day
It
has to come for tomorrow
