the antics of the humming bird

Today around 7.30am I shifted the potted plant with the 3 little humming birds inside. I was trying to observe what the "mother" humming would do. When I had done that, I sat on the rattan chair in the patio with the rest of the potted plants and waited to observe.......The "mother' humming bird was sitting on one of those big trees nearby chirping very loudly in the early morning. The little birides too responded back in kind and so the "mother" bird flew in on her usual route. But couldn't find her little birds.Then chirped loudly flying from pillar to pillar trying to check or focus her view. She flew to the back of the house then back again yet couldnt find it. The "mother' humming bird then flew to the porch of potted plants then returned back to the usual area. I saw the "mother" bird chirped intensely loud on the rattan chair and eventually found her nest.........I shifted about 8 feet away from the original position. In this observation, the "mother" humming bird would not give up until she found out what happened..Then I shifted back to its original place again. This time the "mother" humming bird flew right to the pillar and making her displeasure on me. The "mother" humming bird was thinking I was stealing her little humming birds. In all these shifting, I didnt find the "husband" humming bird around at all. So by nature, it is the "mother" humming bird defending her little birdies and the "father" humming bird is a Romeo somewhere else..........This is something to be learned observing birds.....not the two legged kinds (which is another story...) In our society and in law, it is the mother/wife who will take custody of the children. The father/husband just has visiting rights to his children. Any different from the humming birds? The "mother" humming birds always protect her little birdies not the "father"humming birds. In life it is said children must always remember their mothers.....and why children are always close to their mothers. In working relationships why people want to carry balls with the wife of the head's honcho? Because the husband will listen to his wife..................................how true it is on the people who had done it.
