sports associations

Ministers, deputy ministers and parliamentary secretaries are barred from holding positions in sports bodies. Finally the Cabinet wakes up to realize it. Of cource the sports bodies will cry or say it isnt fair by this order. These sports bodies want these ministers or deputy ministers or parliamentary secretaries for the purpose of soliciting funds for the sports bodies. I dont think these people have time to chart the course of the sports bodies they are involved. It is just so that the sports they love would flourish. It is time that other personalities step forward to chart the course of the sports bodies. The Cabinet members must concentrate on running the affairs of the country and for the people. There shouldnt be any distraction to divert the Cabinet members attention. Now I support that directive and I will see new leaders to chart the journey for these sports bodies. But I also noted with regret that the Cabinet has no authority over the state MB or Chief Minister in regards to the sports they lead. The PM should amend laws in the states that these people should be held accountable to the Cabinet. Maybe he should dispense away with the MB or chief minister posts and handle by a Cabinet member in charge of state affairs. In this way the decision decided can be streamlined effectively.
