friends i knew gone

Yesterday I got news

Two former colleagues passed away

We were working together

Those years up on the hill

The last time I met them was in Langkawi

They looked well to me then holidaying on the island

It was years ago by then things might have changed

Les wrote to me they had gone

I went for their wedding in Negeri Sembilan

I drove all the way from the North to Rembau

Most of the colleagues were there

After that we didn't meet a long time until in Langkawi

Maybe age has taken its toll

The husband and wife once I knew

RIP Ramlan Kasim and Sylvia Khoo Ai Yap*
