Race and religion
It is still in the news
The opponents still
argue
They can’t forget
The party has lost
its power
The decades of
abuses and corruption
It has to end now
not later
Yet the ill-wind still
blowing
Pulling its last
hurrah to stay relevant
Its leaders don’t
care the outcome
They need to taste
the power
It has blinded them
for ages
Using race and
religion to stay
And there are the
blind followers too
They don’t see the
nation is suffering
Ultimately, they
too have to pay
For propping up the
bad leaders
Will they ever
learn?
The nation has many
colours
The people have
many religions
No race is supreme;
we are all the same
