Death penalty has
to go
It shouldn’t stay
in our law
The law makers have
no rights
To pass a law of
death
These law makers
don’t make lives
So, they don’t have
the rights to end it
Even the judges
shouldn’t tie their hands
In imposing a death
sentence under the law
We can’t even have
an eye for an eye
In the end what
will our religions say?
Read the scriptures
and know the results
It is better let
the Maker decide
As long as we don’t
create lives
We have no right to
end a life in the law
The death penalty
law must be canned for good
Let the guilty
party stay in prison for life
Some may argue differently
They will seek an
eye for eye
As Gandhi says we will
be all blind
In the end we ask
for God help
Don’t let darkness
fall on us
We seek the light
to be free
Don’t let our bad
shadows win
We will lose our
lives instead
