The old can contribute
If they can chart the golden lights
It is when the batteries are losing power
It is time to call it a day
The old can work behind the scenes
By now their energy will be low
They will need constant recharging
Keeping paces with the flow of time
The old leaders should recognize
They don't need to be pushed out
Once the whispering getting hot
Better leave and stay indoors
Because there is always a constant renewal
Of leaders who will come to carry the torch
Once their time has come they too will leave
Passing the baton to the next generation of leaders
