the stateless people again

The stateless people

The hardship they have to endure

The years, the decades, the pain of waiting

Yet the Home Ministry takes ages to respond

Even if there is a reply

No reason is furnished only say not approved

This isn't the reply the applicants needed

There must have reasons for rejection

The stateless people

The NGOs will try to help

The uphill battles with officialdom

The pain and sadness flow

The judges in courts will determine

Taking a stand a ruling or reject it

Citing the articles in the Constitution

Then the applicants will repeal

The politicians should make a stand

Support and change the law if require

These are the pool of people needed

In the work force to replace foreign labour

The stateless people

The tunnel is still dark ahead

The bulbs are flickering of hope

But they suffer the long waiting time
