in the pandemic

In the pandemic

It affects every one

The rich will get more

They can find the wealth

Most of us

We will feel the pain

Of the empty pockets

Of the low esteem

Even the homeless too

They may not get free meals

Even asking for alms

Time is hard in the economic downturn

Even the cats and dogs

They will find less free food

The stray cats will meow

Waiting out door in the back kitchens

In the pandemic

Every one suffers

Finding ways to stay afloat

Finding employment is hard to come by

But we still have to move on

Count our blessing singing praises

Even we may not have many

Yet we realize we can't be living in self pity
