Anyone can tell
The biased in the applications
The ordinary folks will get the short end of the sticks
They will walk into jail with crying shame
They are the copper
Mining hard to get to the fore
Wanting to gain respect for hard work
Instead they are shifted to jail
They are the ordinary folks
Wanting to live the roles they should play
But life and law never treat them fairly
They are at a disadvantage when committed crimes
Anyone can tell
The biase in application
The VVIPs get the leeway
They can grin and walk away
Because they are the gold
The precious mining metal from the ground
Dusted and shining in the broad day light
They gain full respect with their wealth
Anyone can tell
Life and law never treat fairly
In the hands of the crooked enforcers
The ordinary folks will have no leeway
