bad sex grounds for divorce
Bad sex grounds for divorce. I think it happens in recorded times. In China recently a few couples petitioned for divorce on the grounds of bad sex. Some of those had stayed together for over 30 years yet they didn't indulge their sex union. Some slept with their mistresses and girlfriends. Ultimately their marriage lives deteriorated until separation are the result. Just stop here a minute...Couples spend time to pursue in a relationship and when finally it is tied to marriage vow; the energy deteriorated or generated elsewhere. The thrill is gone to them. The fighting for a piece of action is forgotten. Couples spend time in intimate embraces yet sex isnt one of those tools to rekindle their romances. They just do it because of obligations or to satisfy a need..In the end a relation fails miserably. It is good to participate in sex. It is not a taboo or shameful to act one's fantasy. It is in the private of one's house that a relationship would have to pursue every time. Sex is not a 100 meter dash! It should be sweet honey; a smell of magic enriching the soul. There shouldn't be any bar to sex activities in a relationship especially for a married couple. Now it isnt 'you can I can't' concept no more. Couples should read Kama Sutra the Indian Sex Manual written over 5000 years ago. In this way I believe we will find many romantic smiling happy couples..........................

doing nothing but feeling great
I dont live in the city. I was once before. I was enjoying myself then. I always came home late in the night. And finally I decided to sleep in my office...Life in the city has all the glamour and fun and partying all nights. Yet I can't mix with the crowd. It isnt for me so I quit my home state and moved elsewhere to work and enjoy the carefree illuminations of my life. I was lucky to land myself in the quiet ambience of a working life and I truly made full use of it. Today I am in a town quiet without much entertainment but served good food which I think it is fine with me. True I do go home once awhile but most of my time I spend in my own home(s) Now I enjoy my carefree time spending it mostly on the internet, writing poems and surfing for news around. I never feel so good. I dont have to think about plans and strategies, budgets and action plans and or listening to complaints of customers and staff and advicing employees what to do and how to behave and what are the best ways to do certain jobs and above all motivate them to be good at themselves. It is time I took my leave and enjoy my world in the global connections.
Thinking about the city life I did my time. I had seen colleagues took drugs, relationships problems, friend's business turned sour and collapse and went to drugs taking. The GROs and mummies and clients who came to pick certain women for the night entertainment. I had my work connecting with these women then but I had seen what they did. Most of them had a fixed idea what to do with the money earned. Worked for a few years, saved enough money then bought houses and settled down. Of course these women told me they won't tell a soul of what they did for a living. Just be a homely woman back in the village or kampung. Flash back to current issues I dont think there is any different at all. I haven't really worked the scenes in the capital. I had left it many years ago............for one thing I can't stand cigarettes or cigars smoking
in a closed environment even in open air with friends I found I got sore throat immediately...so I guess it is clean and open air for my daily living...
Now it rains heavily...................Goodnight Malaysia the cool air flowing in my mind

democracy
I live in my own country. Yet the way the government, elected by the people, behave arrogantly towards the people who had cast their votes for them to be in Parliament and selected members to be in the Cabinet. If I read the statements made by these ministers, I wonder what they are trying to hide. Why can't they say the right thing for once? PM said his corruption campaign was successful....Am I stupid? KTM awarded contracts to a company where his son has a stake. His son-in-law bought shares worth over $9million but no disclosure was made. Public wants to know how he gets funding to purchase his shares. As the PM of the country he should be more open and so are his family members when questions are asked. Nazri wanted to clam the questioning by Non-Muslims on Islam. The way I looked at it, it is the implementation that gone against the teaching of Islam...like the Islamic Family Law where the Muslim women became a step lower than the Muslim men where Islam says man and woman is made equal....It is because most of the law drafters are men? I dont see the full democracy at work. Look at Indonesia and Thailand. Democracy parades peacefully on the streets. I dont see it here anymore. Even in the universities elections, every participating student has to observe the laws governing the universities. It has stifle the growth of the students mental capacity. Democracy....I can only dream for every 5 years I cast my vote....then I surrender all my rights.....
Democracy is not working in 5 years; it should be lively every day of a person's life. It shouldnt hide in the cloak of any laws. It should be open and an avenue to discuss and listen to views of every level of society without favour or fear of any act of law.
A long cool night Malaysia.....I dont see stars only my own shadow looming in the light

water crisis
Water crisis looms due to river pollution
Malaysia Today28 March 2006
Water crisis looms due to river pollution
Malaysia’s major cities including Kuala Lumpur and Malacca could face water shortages next year because of overburdened and polluted river basins, an official says.
Many of the country's 189 river basins suffer from surrounding areas' overdevelopment, dry weather and inefficient water management, likely to result in shortages, Irrigation and Drainage Department director-general Keizrul Abdullah said recently.
Kuala Lumpur and neighbouring Selangor state use some 2,500 million litres of water a day, with the demand expected to double by 2010, Dr Keizrul said.
But pollution from industrial wastes, sewage and sedimentation is lowering water volume in the rivers.
'Some river basins providing clean water to the people are already reaching their limits,' Dr Keizrul said.
He described the problem as 'a classic situation where rivers are under pressure from development'.
'We get sedimentation, we get floods, we get pollution, yet we are also taking more water from rivers, so there is less volume and, in the process, the pollution gets more concentrated,' he said.
He said the situation was compounded by dry weather flow problems and inefficient management of water resources.
He suggested the government should prioritise good river management as 97 per cent of Malaysia's water supply was sourced from its rivers and only 3 per cent from ground water.
He added that people should begin collecting rainwater for washing and cleaning their homes and that an acceptable tariff scheme should be introduced, with higher charges for consumers who use more water, to fund river rehabilitation work. -- ASSOCIATED PRESS

Water shortage in Klang Valley
It was reported many years ago that water in Klang Valley would face a crisis in 2007. Yet the state government and federal cabinet allowed many projects to carry on as if the water shortage can disappear...The state government allowed developments especially housing projects near to the catchment areas as a result of these developments the reservoir received less water every time it rains. But this doesnt worry the state government. It allowed more developments in the state and now with the so called 'developed status' there was the recent flood in Shah Alam... and also the privatisation of the Selangor rivers.....Then where will be water for the people? I reckon the cost will be high...and many protests will be on the streets. Before it really happens for the taps to run dry in the homes and worst off can be the highrise buildings and offices, it is better now to learn how to save water. This precious commodity must be nurtured it seriously. Every body must play an important role to save water. I foresee the crisis will become serious and many people will be affected. So I wish my home state to tackle it now before it worsens off in the future. Now I am out of my home state.

Tudung
The IGP ordered through his memo that all police women -Muslims and Non-Muslims- should wear tudung for the official parade. I think he should be sensitive on the issue of tudung. It is only meant for the Muslim women I am sure there is no protest amongst the Non-Muslims. Yet his memo is a blanket order for all police women which I think he violates the basic human rights in the Federal Constitution. He should be mindful of our multi-racial society with multi-religious upbringing. Though he conceded it is meant as an official attire during parade, I think he is insensitive to other races religions. He should make as a voluntary exercise for the police women to follow but then I think his senior officers may think differently. Even PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi agreed to the tudung issue. So the PM has forgotten that his country is made up of different people with different faith. A few years ago he was touted as the moderate PM but I was aware that he could be manipulated easily...as the years had proven that he has misdirected his focus for the country. It is the political talk to win votes. Now the votes had been cast a different approach comes to irritate the people - water rates going to increase, electricity rates going to hike. The worst currently is the petrol hike of $0.30 which had made the working class suffer. I know because my $20 petrol only reaches 1/4 tank. It has shrunk by 50%! And now the tudung issue....Let the Muslim women wear it and leave out the Non Muslims...before it becomes worst for the country and people. All the small irritants will become a time bomb which will allow somebody to pounce on it and before we know it we are colonise once again! To me the government of today should be changed. It has become arrogant with speeches and statements. Time for other parties to lead the country. I have lived through BN for so long that the political leaders have no interest of the people and country....the statements made are to smoothen people's perception. To change a law or a piece of legislation it takes ages to see the light of day but when it is to their benefits it is so easily done and carried out. So like the tudung issue...
Goodnight Malaysia....wake up and make me proud in the days or years I walk on your soil

the political threat
Why has political threat in the country? Have the ruling elite no balls to confront the criticisms by the opposition parties and the people? We are in the civil society which by right we should be able to discuss freely and sharing of ideas what need to be done for the people, religion and country. Apparently our elected representatives and ministers think we are a group of small children who must be fed and spanked all the times! Let the Muslims discuss their own religion and Non-Muslims shouldnt touch on the Islamic faith. If I am not mistaken, Islam has the direct linkage with the religion of Torah and Holy Bible (Jews and Christians) Jesus(pbuh) had said Muhammad would come after he is gone to his followers. The only blurry journey is why created 3 religious faiths on the same family tree...because of the different views of each follower of the religion. The inter-faith religious councils should understand the underlying principles of the religion - which is the truth? If there is no commanding leadership, I think nobody will know. So currently one shouldn't touch on this sensitive issue because someone will get inflame with blind fury forgetting the command of the Allah/God/Maker showing peace to all mankind....

things going up never come down
When there is bird flu running in the country, I thought a plate of chicken rice would reduce its price. In business things go up; it never really wants to come down. Like one person reported that a plate of chicken rice in KL is $3.50 though the raw chicken has chopped off 50%. I can understand the mentality of the business world - profit first then social responsibility. In fact I believe most hawkers in the city or towns have jumped up the price. But for lowering the selling price I can just dream on. These business people will tell you many excuses but never want to see the reality happening to the businesses. It should be fair and reasonable pricing on the raw materials purchased. When raw materials price drop so should be the selling price of each product. In this view I hope too that in future the cost of petrol should be lowered if the cost per barrel tumbles in the world market(read USA market)
When I walk around the hawkers' stalls in my area many businesses are slacking down. Besides bird flu, we have the HFM disease. So it should be on vegetables......but then what about chemicals in the greens....
It's raining in Malaysia.....crying tears of sorrow of what the government is doing misdirected a movie......I drink my gandum

NAP Policy
At last it was announced of the National Automatic Policy. I dont read the details but with the snip shots I gathered it didnt bring down the prices alot. Maybe less than 10%. So I guess the car price wont be cheap either though the government didnt compare with other countries pricing; but they will do when it is to increase their coffer. To me it is still expensive even comparing it with our neighbouring countries say Singapore and Thailand. Here we have the dealers who dont reduce prices because they claim they have their old stocks...Something never changes. When it is to their benefits the prices will be changed immediately. I wonder what the government going to do about it. Every time there is always a loophole for the traders to escape into and yet the government turns a blind eye...Even the banks increase the BLR but not the interest rates on savings and fixed deposits. If you deposit above $1million your fixed deposit rate reduces to 3% but if it is below $1million the interest rate is 3.7%. You think that if your deposit more you will get better interest....nay the banks think otherwise! So what the Bank Negara doing? Nothing!
Cars will be cheap now....but dont expect fantastic reduction in prices! It is just something nothing else...

i am suppose to be free
I am suppose to be free
Feeling the wind in the sky
Touch the shore of the sandy beach
And feeling great with private thought
When a statement came
Out of the context of religion
Ushering words of concrete laws
I shudder to think of my views
Islam is a religion of peace
Hencewith I believe it is so
Here lies our so called mind
Belittle to bits by our politicians
Thinking they are better than most of us
I am suppose to be free
Living and interacting with ease
With this kind of statements
I don’t need them to represent me
The only think I know
God is kind; God is merciful
God is love; God is forgiving
Yet there are some who forget
Learning is good to a soul
Discussion is a journey to peace
Understanding in living in faith
Not by rules and regulations
And those laws meted out to crush
The colorful minds to build lasting communication
In a world full of misery
Feeling the wind in the sky
Touch the shore of the sandy beach

you decide where to go
People feel lonely in the borderless world! A report in Australia stated that those over 40 years and above find their lives are lonely. What happen to the string of friendship? Loneliness spells diseases to the lonely people. They can't be active; they always feel low esteem as if waiting for their lives to end. Now about one third of the population runs into this lonely business category. I thought with the wirless world reaching out can be so easy...yet there are those who can't go over to the new way of finding friends. The warm contact of another person means alot to these people. I think one has to change and adapt to one needs. As long as one knows how to adapt I believe one can get along well growing into old age. Don't always let your friends go. You dont know you may need them one day. Just keep in contact by telephones, handphones, email or chat rooms or whatever means to say hello...Then one person's life shouldnt be that lonely any more..You make your own circle; and you break your own line. Growing old doesnt mean to live alone. There so many things to do or hobbies to engage only let the mind flow with the time....

the bird flu comes closer
The bird flu comes closer at the door. I don't want to be in the centre of its storm. Currently so many fowls culled in the Perak (about 14,000 birds culled) Yet the MOH said it is alright to eat the birds and eggs. Now when I look at the pigeons flying around at my area I hope these birds are free of bird flu. The birds look alright to me. On thing I complain about these pigeons they shit on my cars. Perhaps these birds take vengence on me for shooting at them while I was growing up in the kampong. I dont know how true it is. Apparently I am the target most of the times in my area. Once I got shit on my head while walking towards Hotel Malaya in KL. Just imagine that! The birds never let me go yet. Now they target my cars....so when I move to a new place I hope it never happens but now I see a bird building nest in my new house roof tops....I guess they knew ahead of me.....! By the time I shift in I hope these birds have no other ideas..bird flu will get people edgy and they tend to kill these birds than let them spread the airborne disease to people. As I said, the bird flu has crossed nearer to my place..........................

talking like children
The government leaders like to say our goods are the cheapest comparing it with other countries. Yet these leaders in the Cabinet forget that foreign currencies are much higher than the ringgit. Some are 5 or 6 times higher others are 2-3 times more with the ringgit yet our salaries are not compared witht the foreign currencies! These leaders in the National Front are trying to hookwink the people but safely avoid the issue of the shrinking paycheck. Because they have the luxuries accorded to them and they think can load over the people. They are there because the people put them in office. So now with higher petrol cost other commodities will adjust the costs accordingly. Currently most hawkers have jumped into the wagon of price increase because of hike in petrol. The cylinder gas has gone up by $5 though it is a controlled item. But I dont hear the government officials say anything about it. The Cabinet strongly urged the retailers not to catch on the bangwagon. It was hot for awhile then it fused out...like other advices these ministers dished out. The business community just ignore their advice....like JAKIM acted as if they are more powerful than the Cabinet or the State Government. These officers are answerable to the government yet they do as they please. I had read reports about them and these officers were arrogant. The Federal Government never takes punitive measures to bring these officers in line. It is a pity that they kept quiet...PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi should sack government officers who do not follow his government directives. I don't think he will do that and I am sure the government officers too believe it so. Now the government has lost its direction.................The leaders making statements and comparisons without realizing that they have made themselves looking like children '16As is not better than 15As' and the works minister said that check and balances are put in place to look into shoddy work....Is he telling the people that before nothing is checked? He is reaching 70 years old and it is time he should retire before he talks nonsense again. And Dr Chua didnt want to take off ReNue on the shelves when the problem surface in Singapore claiming that nothing was happening here. Then a few days ago he ordered it to take off the shelves when complaints were received about the product affecting the users' eyes. Didn't he read medical report and about people's suffering using the product?
The government has lost its direction. I don't know who is running the country. Now we have the PM Abdullah Ahmad Badawi urged the people not to question $4.4 billion saving a year....on what the government want to do with it. On one hand he wants to be transparent and accountable than on his own admission he wants to keep it in secret. I wish he reads his own book again on Islam Hadhari...so that he doesnt have to make contrary statements..The Auditor General always report the mismanagment and poor accounting standards in running the funding in most of the government agencies. Some never prepare financial accounts....it is a shame that even ministers never take an interest in the agencies under their control. So the PM wants us not to question where the monies go.................IT IS TIME CHANGE MUST ARRIVE!!
Good morning Malaysia....the country I love has lost its direction for now.....

the house leaks
Yesterday my new house leaks on the new extension of the car porch. I was there during the heavy downpour. And I also found out that one of the drains is clogged with sand. I tried digging it but it didnt help. Today I will try to look at it again. I think this is the fault of the developer's workers and also lack of supervision. This is the attitude of the person responsible. Called the contractor of the problem on the leak. Anyway he hasnt finished his work yet.

the gang meets in April
The gang will meet in April. I havent confirmed my attendance. I have to see to my new house which will make me quite busy - buying and moving things. Imagine it took about a year to plan somehow when the right moment came those plans need to change. So a plan shouldnt be fixed as a final product. It needs to change with time or events that may occur in a certain fixed time in the future. I am aware of plans which I spent years managing companies now I have my own time to relax...so this house comes to activate my thinking cap again. It keeps my mind active. Everyday I visit the house and see how is the progress. When you depend on people to do work, the speed of a project will be delayed. I can't ask them to hurry which will defeat the purpose of asking them to work. The contractors will damage the final product because they feel I dont trust them so I guess I have to let them plan their own work. I can only watch from the sideline and hope things move accordingly.
SPM and after
Results came for the SPM. One girl jumped from the school building but didnt die. She was admitted to hospital. What she learn in school for so many years? She forgot her sacrifices or her parents to put her there. Perhaps the education system should change to a softer approach not on the academic pursuits which I believe it won't help many young adults to learn in the living society. It is back to base zero for every one coming out from school or university. Paper alone or degree alone won't help enrich your life. It is how one approaches one's journey that would count in the end. So she thought she failed badly or perhaps got fewer As than what she expected. But taking own life to prove what? Failure in examination doesn't equal failure in life. In fact it is a different ball game altogether. The education system should streamline what a person is best at and encourage him/her to grow. Like music take everything about music, like history learn every subject on it and so on and so forth. In this way the basic grounding will be well established to those students to achieve a certain degree of success to pursue in the living stage of their lives. The education system is examination oriented that brought misery to those who couldn't do well academically. These group of people could be good with their hands not in the studying of texts....It reminded me during my school days when the result was released my school mate killed himself when he couldn't accept his result. In fact he was good in his classical dancing which he used to perform but in the end he felt his examination result wasnt good for him and so he lost his life just for a piece of paper. I always remembered that incident. So when I talked about it to people who worked under me before that life is important not the paper qualification. Enjoy life to the fullest. If you fail in you academic pursuit, it doesnt mean you fail. It only means you get the wrong answer but you learned something to make you a better person in life. I had lived through that and I have my life enjoyment which I think it is the best gift I got for myself....I had another classmate who failed but he said it was just a journey. In later years when I met him again he had qualified as an Accountant and with an MBA to boot. But he told me qualification doesn't translate it into a happy fullest life. Nope. He had to acquire his learning on his working environment. What he has is just a stepping stone to climb up the ladder. To me it is what I do that counts alot for myself. I enjoy my simple taste in life...
For those who fail, it doesn't mean the end of a life. Damn it is a journey....in fact it is just started..Use what you learned in school to push it forward to acquire what is good in the end. Examination is a human oriented system to test a person's knowledge but it doesn't mean it is the final product. Nope my friends....
Good morning Malaysia the biggest cabinet in the world. Perhaps it should be put in record..

SPM why want A's?
The SPM result was released today. Anxious parents, uncles and aunties, brothers and sisters, cousins and friends queuing up to know what are the results....some telephones, smses or personal visits...Wah! You got so many A's! You must be very clever ah! What are you going to do? Those who fail where are they? Do we think about them? The caring society we claim ourselves to be one....We hardly talk about failures. It is this strength where failures made a success out of those we fail. I believe it. Failure is the pillar of one's success in life....The failure learns how to cope with life....the hard way. Well...success never comes on a silver platter unless your parents are filthy rich.....It was reported by the Education Minister that the passing rate was 91% for the whole country. In my days I couldn't hear students score so many A's in the subjects taken. Nowadays I hear it so often that I wondered the yesterday students weren't good in their studies....The way it is shown I really feel sorry for the parents and the students. Education is to acquire knowledge to fight in the living world.......why ask for so many A's? Without it I dont think one has failed yet I am afraid this is what the parents demanded from their children. My niece got 3A1s for English Language, Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics and the rest Bs. She cried for getting less A's in her result. Maybe she wanted to better than her sister who scored 6A1s. What are parents doing to their children? The living world is where the needs to survive counts not on the piece of paper showing what a person got. Damn! They dont enjoy education no more. Apparently parents are to be blamed for demanding straight A's...
I enjoy myself with the life I lead. In fact I study well in the rest room!
Goodnight Malaysia.......let the days be as good as it gets!

are we conned?
Is religion a fake? A trap for the humans by the King of Evil, Lucifer himself? If religion a fake, Satan shouldnt be alive. If it is not a con job, why so many encroaching a person's life? The major ones can be classified as follows :-
and other minor leagues adding to the confusion of the humans' minds. Every day every one is listening to the preachers talk about their religions. Each will say something about the others. Sinners here sinners there. Rather confusing on the peoples' minds. One promises heaven others in hell. So which one is right? Each says it is right. Yet the choices are many but difficult to find. Respect your neighbors yet the religious councils ignore. Like you hear the loud speakers blazing in the early morning.....showing lack of respect of other faiths. Long time ago it wasnt trying to muscle to others minds but now it is a norm in the religious sermons which I think one has lost his direction - Love thy neighbors. Why follow the ways of the prophets and not the religious texts itself? It is the words of God why listen to the prophets? Has Satan really gone in our minds that we couldn't see it at all? A fake or a lie?
Good day Malaysia! You are still great with prices going up! My money going nowhere nowadays what with the cost of goods and services going higher and higher....and me becoming an insignificant person walking on the roads.....
1) Christianity
2) Islam
3) Buddhism
4) Hinduism

high taxes
I want the new Honda Civic but...Lee Fei DaoMar 10, 06 3:06pm
Do you like the new eighth generation Honda Civic? I guess everyone would fall in love with it at the first sight and it is not expensive either - at least not in the US. In US, you can buy the 1.8cc model Honda Civic at RM56,832 (US$15,360 x 3.7). Yes, cheaper than Proton Gen 2 or slightly higher in price than Perodua’s Myvi. In Malaysia, to own the new Civic, you will have to pay RM114,000 for the 1.8 model and RM128,000 for the two litre model. To protect the inefficient national car companies, the government imposes ridiculously high taxes on cars, making Malaysia the nation with most expensive car prices in the world. Because of the national car project, Malaysians have suffered for more than 20 years. In the same price range as the Americans, we can only buy a low quality national cars with obsolete design and technology. Who are actually benefitting from the national car project? It is not the people. Well, it is not a secret that those who get rich are the well-connected cronies who own the car parts companies that supply inferior yet expensive components to the national car company. Some of the cronies do not even own a factory; they just merely act as middlemen by sourcing cheap parts and supplying it at exorbitant prices. Many national car owners would tell you their sorrowful experiences with the quality of the national car. Our national car company cannot even export 10,000 cars a year. In Thailand, a foreign direct investment car company exported more than 400,000 cars last year. The very sad part is due to high prices, many Malaysian who want to own a car are forced to buy small cars like the Kancil which have no proper safety features like ABS or airbags. You will be shocked with the fatality rate of these type of compact cars when they meet with accidents. In the US, a fresh graduate can buy the eight generation Honda Civic with about four to six months of his salary. In Malaysia, a low quality and obsolete national car costs more than 20 months salary. It is time for Malaysian to say enough is enough. We do not need a national car project. We want to buy a decent car at a reasonable price. Let us speak in one voice, together. We must tell our arrogant political servants which we voted in to manage this country every five years. We must demand that they act for our well-being or we will vote them out the next term!
How true! The Proton or Potong should go a long time. Many years ago I saw a Proton car accident and the parts that I saw chilled me off! I mean for a National car it is fitted with cheap parts. I don't think the people in the Top Management realize it or they close off their eyes...money first! I had seen the pictures of new Honda Civic but the price itself signal the high taxes imposed by the government even in US it doesnt cost a bomb in a working class salary..Here in Malaysia the government forces you to buy the national car without safety methods installed in the cars..

enforcement officers have no bite
The enforcement officers have no bite to find the retailers on the prices increase. Every where even in the small towns the hawkers have naik harga. These hawkers know that no pegawai akan denda mereka kecuali menutup kedai kalau tempat is not hygienic for the public. But how many really are forced to close down? Lately in Kangar the enforcement officers said they have no authority to fine these hawkers for increasing the cost of their products. Even in my adopted town here, fried kueh teow has jumped to $1.90 previously $1.70 and chinese tea goes up to $0.40 previously $0.30. I think the government is dreaming that no price increases by the business people. It bounds to happen in every cost increase by the government. Go and explain to the people (PM ordered) Before he decided to increase petrol, he should be brave to ask the people and not afterwards when he finds himself losing his popularity....It will cost him in the next election.

no more cheap
Petrol hike
The people have no choice
When the coffers are empty
Some one has to sacrifice
Prices of goods and services
It will hike up discreetly
No fanfare no argument
Empty pocket pay the price
The government we elected
The promises a sweet talk gone
Now it hurts in the empty pocket
Only the providers get the sweet
The people get the junk
It is inevitable in our lives
Listening to warm good speeches
The modern conmen on the prowl
Fishing for votes we are silly to give
Now the whirring protests
The subsidies going to be naught
Leaving only a breathless smoke
Emptying pocket feeling the heat
Of everyday living
The people have no choice
When the coffers are empty
Some one has to sacrifice
Prices of goods and services
It will hike up discreetly
No fanfare no argument
Empty pocket pay the price

life goes on
Learn your mistakes in life. It shouldn't be left behind and forgot. It is the window of opportunity to acquire for a journey one takes it along. Some may think it is the extra baggage. Think about it. It is the sum of one's journey which will determine the direction one needs to go. Life can be difficult especially without money and living alone without friends and relationships. Yet there is always hope. You are what you made yourself. The negative response will make the journey a crying tear. You are loser because you forget you are special in whatevery you do. You lose your focus and life makes you hard to make it end meets. You blame everything every soul but yourself. I always say I am a 'kampong boy' It was where I came from. I dont forget my roots in the kampong though now I live in the city/town. One mustn't forget his/her roots. I pity those who did! I also dont forget how I went into the secondary forest to collect woods to sell. During my younger days I already made my own pocket money. Besides I sold nasi lemak and goreng pisang and got commission for it. It was a hard life but I appreciated it. It made me realize that every one has an equal chance to make it in life. It is only those who failed to realize it that they are the decorative items on the side roads...Harsh but it is true...Now I have my own easy life to live with. I don't have to worry about money (Cool isnt it?!) I have set up myself for life. Now I laze in my own home.... looking at the renovation works on the new house which will be completed by middle of March move in by end of March 06 after which I have to look at the other new house which is 75% completed.....currently my mind is scouting in Cameron Highlands for a holiday home.....This is a future project....I used to live in a cool hill resort for many years

singing the same old tunes
PM said that the subsidy saved on petrol would be used to help the rakyat and improve amenities for the people which would be over $4 billion. I wonder what he was talking about....on the record most of the time the money used to bail out cronies companies I remembered about BCB( 3 times) and Renong(Halim Saad) Now the sound kept repeating in my head. Rakyat will always be the last to benefit from it. The petrol will not increase for this year.....no one can predict the world price of crude oil. The price of goods and services will be increased in toto...the retailers are talking about it and the minister is talking about no price increase....severe penalties will be imposed on those found guilty. I don't think any action will be taken against the retailers. The consumers will be the ones facing the cost of living....the living standards will need changes...I am still in the midst of renovating my house....seeing all the dust floating in the air..
Goodnight Malaysia you know how to make a person blood boil...

double standards
Pak Lah in a spot
THE PRIME MINISTER HAS excused New Straits Times but not the Sarawak Tribune and the Guong Ming Daily News. NST's front page apology on the front page showed the paper was contrite, said the Prime Minister. No body is penalised, as has happened in the two newpapers although they did apologize. All the television stations have carried cartoons deemed offending the Prophet, but how can they be punished? The information minister, Mr Zainuddin Maidin, who is himself a former newspaper editor, who has been running a feud with the former editor-in-chief of the NST group, Mr Khalimullah Hassan, is caught with a dilemma over the television stations under his control. TV3 is run by acolytes of Pak Lah's son-in-law. NTV7 is not in the charmed circle, so will escape if the other television stations are not punished. But they carried the cartoons too. On that will depend on the National Front government's credibility.
The government has chosen to punish papers that most of the country do not see, and excused those that do. But the offense, in the government's eyes, is serious. Otherwise, why would the NST be asked to explain? If the authorities saw red over the cartoons in the three papers, then they should also on the television stations. The Special Branch is present at every opposition rally, and their tape recording has formed the basis of actions against the speaker. They are told the truth is in the recording, and are often sent to Kamunting under the Internal Security Act or charged in court. Viewers taped the caricatures and passed them on. The NST has got a few of them. As its mea culpa, it asks why the television stations are not penalised.
But is the government clean? Let us take two government linked companies which flout regularly the Prophet's injuction against alcohol: MAS and Pernas, which owns hotels like the Istana and the Mutiara (which is now the Crowne Plaza) which serve liquor. As does MAS,. Its former chairman's penchant for Dom Perignion is well known. But nothing has happened to it or him. If the government wants to rid the country of anti-Islamic influences, then it should go the whole hog. It should penalise the companies linked to it for disoberying the Islamic injunctions. It cannot argue that in the modern world, breaking it is required. Schoolchildren must wear 'approved tudung' or be penalised. It fines people for breaking the fast during the month of Ramadan, but half-heartedly. It only penalises what it can see, not what is in the letter of the Quran. It turns non-Muslims into Muslims secretly so that even his family does not know.
Is this what Islam Hadhari is about: go after those who fall foul of what one can see, forget about what Islam stands for and convert people in secret? Pak Lah must answer these discrepancies. He must also explain why the NST is excused but not the Sarawak Tribune and the Guong Ming Daily news. The NST is seen by more Malaysians than either paper. The two newspapers represent communities that feel left out in Malaysia. If anything, the action against these two newspapers have strengthened that feeling. The communities will no doubt compare the punishment meted out to the two papersd and the NST, and see not an attempt to prevent religious conflagration but division of religion, race and between East and West Malaysia. Pak Lah is in a spot. His civil servants have done the damage for which he is held responsible. He has made it worse by excusing NST and not taking action against the television stations.
The National Front, led by UMNO, has taken Islam as its political platform, mainly to beat PAS at its own game. It has dispensed with multiracialism in this move. It is its version of Islam that matters. The MCA, MIC, its allies in Sarawak and Sabah have accepted it, usually because their leaders want to stay in power. But it kept quiet about Islam Hadhari when it met PAS in byelections in Kelantan last year. It is schizophrenic about Islam, and that would be disastrous in a country which has accepted UMNO as its political party. Since most Malay have more than 90 per in Malaysia are Kelantan, Trengganu, Kedah and Perlis, this is a disastrous development. The only two political parties here are UMNO and PAS; the others don't couint because they are united in hate. Any attempt by them to win elections to form state governments is unsuccessful. What happened to the DAP in Penang is not the National Front's effectiveness but in the voter's feeling that it should be in the opposition.
The National Front would be in the opposition if it continues its policy of harassing those it does not like but excusing those it does. It did not matter in the past. The people were happy to go along with whatever the government does. Not any more. The children and, more likely, the grandchildren of the independent generation, are already flexing their muscles and looking for an excuse to vote in others. They cannot trust the government in their every day lives, for the government uses instruments to help the people or be arbiters, to go after them. The National Front and UMNO magic that led the people to vote them in since before independence in 1957. But the people who are left out, the majority, is increasing day by day. This would take about two decades. And the National Front might then find the election result when it would have what the opposition now has. It happened in a Mauritias election, it can happen in Malaysia. Unless the National Front mends its ways. This is why Pak Lah must be harsh on the NST and the television stations.
M.G.G. Pillaipillai@streamyx.com
Punishment must be fair. It shouldn't be 'I like you and I dont like you' thing. If the offences are similar, the culprits should share the same punishment. So I have seen thus far is contradictory punishment for the same offence. The government controlled by BN is waxing its muscles to pick and choose. In later years it will hit them hard. The ruling government is in power for over 50 years without a change. Time will come that it will happen in my life time. The New NEP shouldn't be introduced again. It only benefits the Malays and forget about the other poor Malaysians. Look in the government agencies or companies controlled by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated. I think it is now better to help all Malaysians irrespective of religions or colours. It is the country that carries the global message not the colour of one's skin. This is the narrow thinking of the government of the day. Malaysia must grow graciously and peacefully and her people should enjoy her labours and benefits but not exclusively to a select few....
Malaysia the country I live and enjoy......peace my friends!

Malaysia the country I live and enjoy......peace my friends!
petrol hike
Petrol hike! The message got in the tv while watching 'Ghost Whisper' It didn't come as a surprise. I was thinking it would happen in January 06, only now at the end of February 06. So now BN stands for really BARANG NAIK punya. I think BN is going to lose many votes in the next election. I guess Petronas must be a happy billion profit entity laughing to the government coffers. The poor rakyat has to sweat it out with his limited resources to make do in his daily life. And don't forget we haven't heard yet the utility cost adjustments - water and electricity - which will further burden the ordinary rakyat in the country. As usual the government will say it is still cheapest amongst the Asean countries but they dont tell you the ordinary wages of the people have lost its purchasing power for goods and services. I will have to think of my support in the next election.

does god live?
Ancient question yet it is still relevant today. Honestly does He? When I was young the priest used to say about making car....every car makes there is a written manual to tell the would be motorist how to operate and maintain the car. This was the analogy about how humans are made..But where is the manual written for the humans to take care and maintain it? You can't find it in any religious text. I don't think there is a manual written for it. If there is one, I am sure every one will know how to maintain and replenish it. Yet the humans always go shooting blindly.....like the case of the hunters thinking about wild boars but shoot his friends - some died some survive. Likewise for the humans - some die peacefully while others go off in a blast of fire..There is no manual to map out what to do in time of crisis. So we break down and get it through by sheer experience but the elusive dream is so far away....we can only imagine. For sex it is written on the surface only except Songs of Solomon which are more explicit in certain details for men and women to engage. The religious texts only wrote be good and multiply.....Kamasutra has explicit details of what to expect in sexual encounters than the religious texts. If God really lives, why He never says it loud and clear. Why hide it in the dark?
Perhaps it is trick by the sage people....as some books have written about it - a lie to bring the flocks to the arms of the powerful humanbeings. As the years pass me by, I am thinking what I hold is still valid or am I a fool to live through the mass of deceit? I still have hope in my life only some unexplained theory(?) which I can't find answer to it. Some text says when you are in the heat of sexual unification you could see God in person...This is where Nirvana came which Buddha preached about. The ancient text said the world is heading for a spiral yet God never hints at all....at least tell us how to reverse it. Currently we are going by trial and error which will take us to our doom....because the answers will be so far off...
Good day Malaysia.....the powerful will dispense justice according to his wishes!

different strokes
The double standard on punishment or favours. It isn't something new at all. It happens in all the structure of society. In school we curry favours from the teachers. At work we curry favours from our bosses. In politics we curry favours from the ministers or the prime minister or president. The more we do that the more we think we can escape punishment and gain favours in the long run. So I have seen how this work. It is effective and one gets far ahead. The international ball carrier always gets the result in the end. Of course it needs works alot of them...So we have seen how the government punished some companies and let off others. It is how much curry favours one has put in which will decide the outcome of a punishment. Same picture different punishment. I cry foul but the referee decision is final! It is always must be seen to be fair and above the law and no double standard for a similar offences. It will erode cofidence in the management of an enterprise/company or country.

red tape
I think our religious backgrounds need tuning. We can't seem to understand ourselves. We pray. We ask forgiveness. We ask for help. We ask for guidance. We ask for paradise. Sound great in temples, churches or mosques. When one steps out from these holy places, it seems many things have been forgotten. When the eyes open to see, the mind thinks of money. How do one explain everything needs money to get it done? From any level of society it is there to be had. The tragedy is every one turned a blind eye. This is what happening in the country. Corruption needs to be taken care off. Yet it is so difficult when the head is rotten....Just go figure it out. Today I went to Tenaga to pay for my electric deposit for my new house....'minta maaf tak ada kelulusan dari pegawai yang berkenaan' The developer said they had submitted all the documents to Tenaga and CF issued yet I can't pay for my electric deposit. For over a week I tried but I wasnt successful. How could CF issued when the sub-station not yet commissioned? Now I have to wait next week to try again. It is no use hanging on the wall the company's mission statement when in reality no one seems to follow the company's charter. It is better put in the drawer to gather dust and spoil the wall of neat paint....

islamic family law 2
So the Muslim guys must be smiling now. The law waits to be gazetted after which it becomes law. The man only needs to say it is 'necessary' to take another wife(wives) Normally it is sexual needs. So if the wife refuses to have sex with her husband, does he has a right to marry another? If the guy demands various types of sex position, will the wife disagree? If she does not agree, will it be a ground to prove it is 'necessary'? Whatever properties or rights belong to the wife(wives) now the husband has a right to attest a claim as his right of possession though it is not under his name. So the Muslim women lose their rights in the IFL. I pity the Muslim women. By right they should fight for it. Apparently not many women want to take up the fight. Only perhaps the NGOs and others interested in the equality of human rights irrespective of gender. Through the centuries long gone laws are always made by men to satisfy for themselves. The women - Muslim or Non-Muslim - have no rights whatsover in the eyes of the men. So this piece of legislation needs to be reviewed to make peace with the Muslim women. I don't want them to hate men than I rugilah....They are best for men yet men have misused them for centuries...

islamic family law
The IFL had been passed in Parliament. This piece of legislation makes the Muslim man enjoying his fruit of his labour and more out of his cravings or lust for younger women or beautiful women....has shared in properties under his wife(wives) name(s) and the rights to do what he pleases in the framework of the IFL law. So the Muslim women become slaves to their husbands and the laws of the Holy Quran doesn't come in to make it equal for the women no more. As I understand on the Holy Scriptures man should treat his woman(women) equally or as good as his own. So what will happen to these Muslim women then? No fight? No anger? In fact I don't hear any protest in the strongest words on the IFL. The minister had gone back on her credibility. Maybe some one gave her a good rub so she forgot what she needs to do. No? Then why the sudden change of heart of her commitment. The Muslim women should band together to fight for it otherwise the Muslim men are going to taste the pleasure of the cakes...I dont agree with the law. It makes the Muslim women slaves to the Muslim men. Any one can make any comment......the end of the day the Muslim women are losing in the gender equality

stress
Malaysia ranked number 7 on stress.....Perhaps too many potholes need to fill until some one has to volunteer to do it. ( In Johore Baru) For the rest of the surrounding areas, especially on housing projects around, many potholes along the roads. And we expect a caring company to take cognizance of the disaster befallen on the motorists. No....the company thinks on profits instead of saving human lives. Love affairs too make it stressful to survive. Nowadays with handphones and SMS it is so easy to reach a target or some one can easily find out. You know some people are so proud to share it around that somehow the affair(s) become a talk of the town. Or naked pictures taken in video cam or digital camera for remembrance and landed in the distribution network in the internet( check sabul) The people who value face should be aware of the modern gadgets which come in handy for those so in love...throwing caution to the wind. And when it is finaly shown in the www the stress is itself may kill a person. Remember the case of a former Indian VP where some women committed suicide because of stress of losing one face value....In work every one wants to be a CEO yet each forgets that not every one can be one. Some must be on the lower rank, some on the middle rank, others just hopping one job to another and only a few in the CEO material...By right one should enjoy the fruit of one's labour; fighting to be somebody make it stressful in the work place, at home and in relationship. Be blessful of doing or gaining something....like the oldie song 'whatever will be will be' If you think you have a degree, you can be somebody. Think again in the job market. If you can be humble in any situation, I believe you can make it to the top. Living alone too can be stressful so you must surround with friends. You only need a friend........maybe it is so difficult that many singles join so many clubs just to get hitch....if not they become stressful.....Dont go so far away just see in front of you....

you make a class of your own
Dont live with regrets or trying to pacify someone's dreams. It isnt going to work for the majority of people. You find your way I find mine. Somewhere in between we will meet on the bridge then collaboration can begin. You dont have to tell your past history. It really belongs to you; and if you dont want to publish it why keep worrying about it? This is what happening. If you want to share it, make sure you know what will happen. It is no use crying over spill milk which by then it is rather too late. Purity and virgin.....it is only in the mind which is true if you spare a moment to think about it. The mind should be white......otherwise nobody can say some one is correct. We are living in the world of good and bad. The shifting roles always play in our lives. Sometimes the light shines at times it is darkness in the mind. No....you shouldnt keep looking back which is always a waste of time. Recognize what has occured and believe that it can be made better. It is this way life could be happier and meaningful yet I find people just can't see it through. Take the positive values and improve on it. This is the strength to make life easier in pursuit of relationships, careers, businesses, friendships and social intercourse.

the iron lady rocks
The Iron Lady rocks again!
She doesn’t go because of her experience
Telling me there is nobody
The matching order never came
The older ones will have a blast
The younger flyers sigh with blue
The nest eggs arrow deep in thought
There is nothing to say
The outposts staying upright
Never believing a chance to light
The twinkling stars salute silently
Winking it across the sky
Ah….the grievances of many!
Wait for it in the next election
The power of the voters can decide
The direction each wants the best
The Iron Lady waltzes silently
Smiling her wide grin all the times
Believe me she says
I am going to stay!
So I dream about AP
Maybe I will be rich
Wishful thinking my Iron lady
Why not make me free?
She doesn’t go because of her experience
Telling me there is nobody
The matching order never came

housing industry
The housing industry needs additional bite to assist the house buyers. I don't know how they study for years yet when the laws are amended there are flaws in its implementation. Take the case of the Tribunal. The house buyers take the developers to the Tribunal get the awards yet the developers can defer payment or worst the developers just totally ignore the awards. Now what can the house buyers do? Civil case again? Sometimes this is what happening in the housing industry. These are the simple basic flaws happening in the housing industry that most developers escape the clutches of the law. Of course I do find some reports that action will be taken against these companies then it is silent for many years. Then the ministry officials will come out with all the classic lame excuses - couldn't find the developers or the company ceases to exist....And the minister will say he is looking for ways to plug the loopholes of the law. Look when a house has got a CF it means everything should be in place....Right? No! There is no water and electricity yet CF can be issued. By right the law should be amended that CF will only be issued when water and electricity is fully connected to the houses in question. In other words the relevant agencies should be instructed to collect deposits from the housebuyers for the meters to be installed either direct through the developers or direct from the house buyers. In this way when the CF is issued the house buyer knows that the house is fully certified!. Currently you can scratch your head and wait and wait.......I know this is the basic problem yet it takes years and years to rectify it. Basically I think the government is supporting the developers and only when the election comes nearer only then the government tries to say something good for the rakyat.....Typical campaign tactics...Walk the talk? Come on it is drawing in the shadow...

driving
Our drivers are the crazy lot. Believe they are. So many reports about them yet they dont seem to behave behind the wheels. My experience always on the T-junction and side roads or alleys. When I drive around(mostly to my place of jogging or walking) I have to pay extra attention of these drivers - age has nothing to do with it. These drivers just come straight at you without stopping to see for free flow traffic. They always believe some one has to give way...They just cut through the lanes...sometimes there is no accident but I always feel it is the near miss cases that push the stress on driving. Alert on the road. Eyes glue both ways. When the concentration ceases just a minute something will happen. Partly why I dont enjoy staying in the city. I go to a quiet and easy to live areas. Even now I find the concentration goes back again. Too many cars hawking the roads. The other worst scene is the motorist. They ride with nothing to fear. Sometimes without light or very dim light. You can't see them from a distance. They just zoom in and out swaying with the traffic. I just hope that all these lower cc motorbikes should be put to pasture leaving only the say 1000cc bikes. In a way the traffic flow will be much easier driving on the roads. The forever nuisance one is the cyclist. Dark cloths, no head light and cycling on the opposite way or flow with the traffic. I can't really see them because they dont even fix the rear light too. These cyclists dont follow the traffic rules. Just watch those school boys and girls leaving for homes....you can get a fresh picture of what traffic rule is.
I still enjoy my driving but have to pay extra precaution on the roads. Now the flooding season has arrived so I guess I have to wait before I think of what I want to do...
Goodnight Malaysia! May the Lord bless us all!

valentine's day
Valentine, Valentine, somewhere the romantic illusion rises. Today's the love birds go winking. No traffic rule except emptying pockets of dough. Why always the guys? The commercial entity has become a big business. The guys want to impress their women/girlfriends. It is not only for the single romantics but also for the married couples. Love shouldnt be those who are seeking for it but it must also for those who seeking to cement ties with their soulmates too. Flowers now have become too expensive to show affection. But people say why worry about it? It is a one year thing....I digress. It should be a continous affair of the heart and soul. It shouldnt wait for this particular day to lavish something for the women/girlfriends. No wonder we find reports of broken affairs/marriages. Something never gets it right. The guys again.
Happy Valentine to all the romantics!
Happy Valentine to all the romantics!

communication
Why communication fail? Sometimes I wonder. With modern gadgets and innovations I still feel messages or replies take ages to arrive. Or it is dead silence somewhere. Excuse? Aiyah...not freelah! So many things to do one! Just stop a minute. How long it takes to response? One minute to write a short note or 10 minutes to write something to say 'I have heard about it' It is that difficult? Likewise in business too. You can't get a reply to its email even though you write it and wait for the people to respond. One hour? Few hours? One day? Many days? Maybe none at all. The worst culprit is with the government departments. It is totally zero! I wonder what they are doing cooking up in the office. They should walk the road. As this country is famous for - talk alot action depends who is calling whom and also the mine of red tapes involved. Talking about One Stop Agency blah blah blah...the Cabinet members should walk the talk. The PM recognizes the weaknesses yet changes are not done. Even the legal department takes ages to amend or draw up new laws yet there are weaknesses when the laws are gazetted. It reminds you of what really they are doing....studying it for years and still has loopholes! Communication never executed to the right people for the right solutions. Somewhere in the processes many red tapes or trying to make themselves important in the work they do. The final product - a crack in the system. Likewise when the Chairman of NS announced that parents are allowed to visit their children in camps for the Chap Goh Mei, the camp commanders didnt agree. Because there is no written order to allow. It was reported in the newspaper on Friday. On Saturday late evening still no confirmation until after 11.00 pm. So I guess it takes more than 24 hours for the message to pass through the wiring services in the country. Who is at fault?
Communication is money......this is how I summarised it. When there is money to be made I believe things would be moving like fire......
So for those of you going out to celebrate Chap Goh Mei, may the night brings you blissful anticipation....Good day Malaysians

go for change
The police must go for change. The top brass must accept changes in their daily affairs with the public. They should also accept responsibility and accountability of their own actions and or their subordinates. They are the public servant entrusted to maintain law and order in the country. After 200 years of its existence, they must have accumulated enough experience to go forward. But we have seen or heard they go backwards. They are afraid to be accountable on their actions. We have heard of detainees died in lockups. Abuses inflicted on the suspects. Ignoring the very law they are sworn to protect! They are the kings in their domain. These officers are dragging their legs to implement changes to the force. The lastest case was the shaving bald of 11 elderly people in lock up. The court of law has not found them guilty yet the police officers said they were. They jumped the gun on the wrong interpretation of its regulations which isnt law. Unless these suspects are proven guilty then appropriate measures can be taken as spell out in judgement. Now we have Hishamuddin ignoring the PM directive to gang up with the Police. He is showing that the PM is weak. This is the PM directive for the Police to adopt changes to suit the needs of the people and country. So will we see changes in the police force?

The ghosts(?)
The dead are gone. Buried underground. Cremated. Turn to ashes. Distributed in the wind, seas or rivers. Yet we hear ghosts in our midst. A person dreams. Really it happens? You must be kidding. Dead never gets up again. Then why recorded sightings about them? Telling the living...there is another world beyond our comprehension. No one can tell. In my kampong days older people told us to take dogs' tears wiped it on our eyes at night we could see the undead walking, smiling, talking etc as normal living persons do. Who want to do it? We never want to know. Maybe nightmares. Or the ghosts come to us. So now I heard yesterday about ghosts in NS camp somewhere near Lumut, Perak. My niece went for her NS training. Her dormitory is haunted. At one time a few girls saw. Then the guys did too. Now every one sleeps close together. The disturbing spirits roaming in the night. How to explain? This ghost business makes one feels scary walking alone in the darkness or dark alleys. Like my time in the kampong. Dark shadowy figures dancing with the flow of the moonlit night. The silently blowing wind and the rustling of the leaves and branches...alone walking many images popped out to scare one's wit. I tell you you get the skin crawling....especially on the full fat moon in the night sky..
Now living in town I don't get to hear so many ghost stories. Only my own imagination running full steam ahead walking in the dark edges of the light. This is where one's imagination got the better of one's consciousness.

life is cheap
The ship sunk. Pity and sad. The ship captain and crew didnt take the emergency steps to avoid death. The fire was reported yet the ship sat sail. For about 1 hour the ship captain could do something. He failed. The ship sailed ahead and sunk. It was reported about 1,400 feared death. Survivors claimed the response to emergency was slow. Life they claimed was cheap to the authority. Some had to swim for several hours to reach shore. Others saw dingy capsized by overloading. Life jackets werent plenty to distribute. So life was wasted in the sea. Back home motorists died on the roads. As usual speeding and eager to cut corners. These people never learn through the years. Now for those who were killed they laid in hell for their stupidity. I dont know what they wanted to make a statement. Speeding always kill- there is no two way about it. The statistics never meant a thing to these people. Now death took their lives. Living in hell before time is the worst torture one could inflict upon oneself - the darkness, the coldness and dampness, the silence, the stationary position, waiting for the earth to crack but it will be quite awhile. So enjoy life and be happy. Dont speed stay alert........

a new day 4
The petrol hike will come. There is nothing much the consumers could do about it. In our lives the government has the mandate to push it down to the consumers. We elected them now we harvested our prizes....The lower income earners will get the brunt of the price increases. It is not only the petrol but other essential goods and services will spiral in tandem. The usual mantra of the BN government is 'We are still cheaper than the neighouring countries say Singapore' The cabinet never compares it within the bench mark of the peoples' remunerations. As far as I could remember the cabinet never done it. The people just grumble/curse/angry yet cough out money to buy the essential goods to live on day to day...The sunlight still shines; the long running has to bear with it; and until such times bite our own bullets to struggle to survive. I predict it will be around $1.82 per litre of petrol. Even now the hawkers' food have increased their prices. In Penang a bowl of cendol at Off Penang Road has gone up to $1.50 from $0.40 in early 90s. The last time I was in Penang it was $1.20 a bowl of cendol. In my current base my regular stall for kueh teow soup has gone up by $0.30 but he charged me $2.00 instead of $2.30. So I don't know it is for CNY after which the price will return to $2.00 for a bowl of kueh teow soup. The money in your pocket has shrinked overnight.
And here comes TNB....the hike in electricity bill. This is a cash cow unitility company controlled by the federal government. It is a monopolistic utility. In the newspaper report it has a whopping debt of $30 billion! Every financial year it says it makes over $1 billion profit. Then the company shouldnt increase the rate. No...it require it to pay off the whopping debt! To me the management fail in its duty. Look it is cash generated company. There is no reason that the company couldnt pay its debts. It is a failure in its management. So instead of using tax payers' money to bail out the company the government will allow the tariff hike to reduce its borrowings
When this is not successful then it willl be bailed out by the tax payers' money in the spirit of national unity!!! A company shouldnt be run by only one race. In Malaysia it should be a mix bag of her citizens to run it. So the best of Malaysians will be employed to boost the image, profit and sustain the enterprise.
And Telekom....the giant walks a slow step. Look at the new completed housing estates, there are no telephone poles at all. So no business generated. People complaints and yet nothing happens. The government never barks any orders. "I leave it to the management and Board to decide" The managers never go out to check and ask for business. You know why? Monopoly!!!!
So this giant takes its own sweet time to come...It is time the federal government breaks up all the monopolistic companies in its stable. Let more companies start this business and ultimately the people benefit. Look beyond our shores - Hong Kong. You can talk for hours from Hong Kong to any place in Malaysia it never costs you a bomb. It is so damn cheap!!!
The PM recognizes the weaknesses yet he takes his own sweet time to explore. He was a government servant before he became PM. He knew what was on the ground. Now his eyes couldnt see anything. "Come walk with me" to see more prices increase, more corruptions, more bailing out cronies companies, more burdens to the people. Even the imported cars thousands and thousands got stuck in the ports. Why? No AP.....delayed in issuing...now temporary 8,000 APs were issued..
Hello Malaysia! It is 21st century yet you are working in the 19th century mentality! Slow and steady win the race? We will be far far behind............in the globalization

We will be far far behind............in the globalization

a new day 3
It is true
Resolutions on personal scheme
It hardly arrives
You can write it down beautifully
Pin it up in the room in your brain
This can only happen in controlled space
You know where you want to see
In reality many winds blow
Every where you want or should be
Leaving you rather undecided
Which way to go O Wind?
Maybe you have heard people who made it
Praises of what they did
Every one thinks that is the way
Personally it is all ordained
The day you were born
The games that will be played
I agree with you
Go where your mind says
What you feel you should
Why lose the richness?
Because you don't plan it that way

on the road - the rubbish and others
Rubbish throws at my unoccupied house by the so called friendly neighbours across the street. Everyday as I go to my new house I see bundles of rubbish put it near my area. I always try to figure out who is the culprit to do that. The houses there have own compounds yet one of them is throwing rubbish at my end of the road. So when the Bandaran people comes along, sometimes they collect it at times it is left there for days. We are in the 21st century yet I find the mentality of the people is way beyond redemption. These people can easily throw the rubbish at the rubbish disposal area about 2 minutes drive by car. It never happens. Imagine own rubbish tak bolih buang nak tumpang tempat orang.....
Today I found this Indian man house burned. He is not the one who thrown rubbish on my street. He lives behind a few rows after my new house. Sometimes I wonder where he gets all those dogs in his possession. I have a feeling these dogs are stolen ones and put in his care. Sometimes my neighbour told me that she saw an Indian came to my unoccupied house. I always see dog shit or cat shit in my garden. Then I have to cover it with sand. Now he got his due. His house was burned. I didnt feel pity for him. I believe he deserved it because I was told he stole things especially from the construction site.
Now the nude squat is over. It will become law soon. It will be quite a while before the laws is enacted. I also read that Overseas UMNO Club made a report against Teresa Kok on her expose of the nude squat as pornography! And the Chairperson is the deputy internal minister. While he claimed he didnt know about the report. Read the lines. He is hiding the fact that he is also part of the saga in the nude squat incident. Why no report on the press or TV? I called double standard. This is what happening in the country. We have all those chicken brains...saying something yet when the faults have been found will deny until the moon dies.
But somehow I still love my country....

flames of fury 21
The 9 Ministers can't send a memo to their Chief! What rubbish!!! This is democracy not an authocratic rule. Every one has a right to send a memo. True they can bring it up in the Cabinet meeting but will it be on the agenda?. I see the PM always says he is busy and has no time to peruse what comes to his plate. So how could the rest of Ministers say otherwise. Read the memo first than comment.....this is the part democracy where every one has a right to comment good or bad. Right these other Ministers including DPM are fanning their remarks without reading the memo. Pity. The other half of non-Muslims need to fight for their rights too. It is not something to sweep under the carpet. Apparently these Muslim Ministers want everything for themselves. Pity my country. The founding fathers of this country want every race every religion to co-exist peacefully in our multi-racial multi-religious concept. No one should claim a right over the others. Apparently there are people who do not see it that way. If laws need to be changed, it should be amended to suit the current time frames and not say it can't be done. Now I am getting fed up. Partly I was to blame to vote these people in. PM can't make up his mind. Even if he does, I think somebody feeds him the information. You know he says he has no time so he may as well resign.....the responsibility comes with grit and determination to get the country forward. Nay, I think we are going backwards. Rafidah Aziz was right. It is good it comes out of this issue. Moorthy case has drawn up a confusion amongst the people. For what I know he wasnt really rewarded when he was alive! Because he was of a different race.
What happen to the NAP? So silence....................and the PM says he will come out with the guidelines or regulations or what soon. It has been months since yet nothing from his office. And the cars are kept idling in the custom's godowns for PM to make a decision...Because the economy isnt good......and he thinks what to do with his formulation on the 9th Malaysian Plan. For the time being the people anxiously wait and wait....then we heard about 52,000 carowners defaulted on their loans. So another list of 52,000 bankrupts! Another round to help the crony companies/banks...This will translate into roughly over $2billion in defaulting loans! The housing loans too will next on the fall. It will happen when the economy falters...It has happened in US and Shanghai...just watch the economic scenario...
I am still waiting for my CF......

on the road - the modern peeping tom
The Cabinet directed the FT Jawi to cease the vigilante corps in its department. Though these people claim it is volunteer service to advice and or help people in needs or run foul of the syariah laws or its regulations. It is snooping by any other methods or means. What right to these people have? The Federal Constitution guarantees privacy of one's own affairs. Last year we had Mat Skodeng in Malacca which the Cabinet asked the Chief Minister to disband it (He was the chief of these group of people) We don't want to have any Taliban style administration running around the country just because one's faith (Islam) forbids it. God makes us God will listen Afterall He is Compassionate and Forgiving and Loving....He already knows what His children are running into. So FT Jawi shouldnt play moralist to advice people to follow the religious doctrines. Now I read in today's Star FT Jawi defied the Cabinet directive. If that is so, the PM should sack all these people and those involved in this modern peeping tom. The PM should not allow the Cabinet directive to be ignored. He should advice the Minister concerned to take the appropriate action on these people. If nothing is taken seriously at all, then I will see a floodgate of other religious bodies to do the same. One can why not the other eh?
There are locking systems in one's religion. Any one who breaks it has to answer when he is called to do so. In this way, we tolerate other faiths in the country. One shouldnt lose count what privacy means. It is a private matter between the wrongdoers and his God...nothing to do with others perception. One can't play God and stand on high moral grounds. We are all sinners if not in physical needs but in emotional needs and if not in these needs it is in our religious needs. Are we as pure as what we think? Hah! I rest my case!

on the road - dirty lords
I can't understand people's mentality on cleanliness. Look around ourselves perhaps stretch our imagination. What you see? I see many unselfish lords in the ponds. My new house which I havent occupied( I dont know how long the CF is waiting though the house is sitting there for over a year...) I seen rubbish thrown near to my fencing area...just because currently there is nobody staying there it doesnt mean the neighbours across the street could dump their rubbish at my end of the road. I really got pissed off. I knew who these unselfish people are. They want to maintain their area clean yet they never show concern what they do about cleanliness. This is the mentality of 21st people. To me it is more in 19th century. And about the town council staff who go around to collect rubbish....they dont collect it. In fact when they pass through the housing area they ignore the rubbish sitting on the road. I know they collect some leave out some. Ini kerja....tapi tak proaktif dalam sikap mental....nak maju kononnya masih bermimpi saja..
The dog owners too. They want to keep dogs yet they dont scoop dog shit. What kind of mentality in these owners mind? I agree with Shah Alam City Council to penalise dog owners. One has to be responsible for the dogs one wishes to keep. Don't ignore cleanliness. Some say the thieves will have an easy time to rob.....you see what ideas get into their heads. If the robbers or thieves want to rob you, there is no way you can escape! The association of dogs owners refused to attend meeting with the City Council and when the regulations are enforced they wanted to cry foul. This is another mentality of these professionals. I salute the City Council for enforcing it and I hope they keep it that way though I dont have anything against the dogs.

On the road - Rape and Murdered
When we were young, parents always advice to take care. In the company we keep, places we go or lepak or walking home alone. Every man or woman has different facade. You dont know what will happen on a given day. So when I read report of a 25 year old woman raped and murdered in Sungai Petani, Kedah, it got me thinking about parental advice. Jogging on the road diverting into a secluded spot always hide the bad hats. Bad elements love lonely dark corners. In my kampong days I think I had my schooling. When in a lonely secluded spot always bring your eyes to scout the areas and the mind should be alert. It takes a minute to pull off this job - in a van or behind bushes or trees or big concrete tunnel (s) Although she was jogging with her sister, yet she was raped and murdered. My guess the sister didnt keep pace and thinking it is the same old routine why feel any untoward incident would happen. This is the thinking that got many into real hot spot. I always say that we have only 1 life and 24 hours everyday to stay alert. In between when one feels let down something always happen. Remember the evil loves dark corners of a person's life.

on the road
Wake up in the morning
Rushing everywhere
Some even before sunlight
On the roads to smile
The freedom on the run
Driving along the jams
When late for work
You get the heat
The bosses never smile
The score board repeating
The telephones ringing
On the ride of your life
You see it to earn a living
Whatever time you work
Cari makan kehidupan sebenar
Dari siang hingga malam
You get home tiring of soul
Yet you can ignore
Living to earn a place
To survive............
Some say why so crazy
Do the pajama party
Yet you get money
In the internet so they claim
If that is the case
Everyone works at home
Playing cowboy and Red Indian
So it isnt easy to run a living
You ask me
I sip my tea
On the balcony
Living my own drive
The paradise of my life

a new day 2
Looking at the days ahead. The PM is showing to reshuffle his Cabinet. The people says he should do it now. He has the mandate and the popularity vote to make changes to his Cabinet. The political pundits can't read his mind - as always anyway. The most likely candidates to go should be Rafidah Aziz, Azmi, Shafie, Kadir and the old guards too in BN such as Samy and Keng Yaik and Mohd Nor (who made a silly statement in the ear squat episode causing ripples in the diplomatic circles) The ground says these are the possible candidates. Hishamuddin shouldnt be in the Education Ministry (holding kris in the Umno Youth assembly for what....telling the young students it is okay to do it????) He has become a joke in the Ministry. So he shouldnt be the Minister to guide the young ones to become good citizen...maybe transullferred him to Defence Ministry that can be the correct response...
The government machinery still moves very slow in this century. I just can't understand these people attitude. They are there to serve the rakyat but they feel the rakyat should serve them!
What a bullshit!! Perhaps it needs 'a mind revolution' to transform these people. When you write letters or emails they dont even reply or acknowledge it. It just lies somewhere......what is the use to spend millions on the hardwares but the softwares are useless and lazy.....Just go to puke the insane money spent to get these people to move ahead. The government should balance the racial composition in all levels. When you have a race in all sectors this is what it comes about. Arrogance and greed which lead to corruption which leads to the people suffering where the rich gets richer...Just read the incident in Taman Pusing near Elephant Stone. The Chief Minister said the CF was issued based on pressure from political parties and politicians...well...in the first place who agreed the project should be sound. The District Office never survey the land properly and if it had done then the project wouldnt be allowed to continue. As I see it at that time the District Office felt it was alright for the project to go ahead. Imagine the millions spent then to say it is not safe? No wonder the people put pressure on it - the housebuyers, the politicians and political parties. It means the department is inefficient carrying its duties entrusted by the state government. Will these people be persecuted? It never happens in Bolihland....
But it is not the same with China Press.......
This is the new day.....

the lamb cut to pieces
The lamb cut to pieces. The freedom of expression isn't what it means. If I criticise the ruling elite, I think I am in hot soup. Boiling with fire one gets the heat. Nothing really helps if one doesnt accept it. Admit to mistakes or say one makes a bad decision and correct it. It is no use hiding behind laws of the land to protect an image. So I see the China Press editors resigned presumably on the order of the Internal Ministry. Why not the deputy minister go too? I dont think he will resign. This is Bolihland. The ministers, government officials and cronies are above the laws of the land. When the news of the ear squat incident came to public knowledge, the police never corrected the race issue. The Internal Ministry and Home Affairs officials never correct the race issue. What happen? In the inquiry then it was in June 05 but it came out in the press somewhere Nov 05. Yet no official statement came out to say it is a Malay when everyone thought it is a Chinese. In my view the police deputy IGP should go too. Nay....I dont think so. The PM as usual never take corrective actions. He only says to appease his people forgetting that he has to balance it with the country multi racial people. He can't take harsh action on his officials because of Tun Dr Mahathir who has come out in retirement to blast the present government. In my mind I think Dr Mahathir had picked a wrong person to run the country. He knew it in 2005. In fact the country seems to run by Khairy Jamaluddin.....ask the city folks in KL.
When will Pak Lah wake up to realize what he is missing? He has to run his own ship. He can't assign it. The people expects he runs a tight ship to sail on the target destination. As it is now I am afraid many talented people will go. For example many cars stucked in Port Klang all because of AP issues. The NAP came yet the cars industry waiting for the regulations but not forth coming. The Customs officials say give me the APs we give you the cars! Every hole digs every hole needs to fill. Here too many holes dig no one cares to fill it up. It just goes to show how ineffective the administration has become. They always tell you they do not have enough manpower but you can see them taking their own sweet times to do their jobs - long break hours, long talking time, long meetings, long no officers around....etc..
The classic comparison is what other poor countries. In every price hikes we are still better as compared to so and so countries but why not compare to Singapore? They turn turtles....

a new day 1
A new day comes to town. Heck I just see the old sun and the smiling moon. It is good to feel alive in the natural world I get it to my paradise. I say a prayer for the past year and a good one for the days ahead. One never knows the time can change; the season plays havoc and the sadness comes easily. Maybe others never care or spare a thought for something good in life. Lepak sana lepak sini feeling good to see all things and natural ones too. Never know how lucky to stay alive in the world prone to natural disasters or man made ones. The train of thoughts flow yet enjoyment should come to play. You see the weather changes so fast sometimes in seconds than the rain falls...I am just glad I have many small things and time to participate the life enjoyment befall for me. Yeah....no complaints no regrets too. I always look positive to nurture myself. A very good reasoning - when you are born you must prepare to die. There is no extension to one's life at all. So in between enjoy the good life. Nothing beats the feeling of life!
