the spices of life 26

Kampar

The eyes stared
Of the time he could have been
When he was a young man
Able body not afraid of hardship

The tin mining era
He could have the tail end of its spin
The golden era in this quiet town
When tin price collapsed, many lost jobs

When the second wave boom
On the housing industry room
He could have been working
Bricklayer or mosaic player

Earning substantial income
Life was good of those gone era
Planning for tomorrow hardly done
When the brick falls, it is hard to recover

Now he sat alone
Lost his dignity his self respect
Of those years he forgot
We are young once

We are champion in our times
A temporary glow then it will be gone
It can't be forever as old age claims its place
So know the rule young only once!
