The sudden rain
Hit for a few minutes
The heavy downpour
Cool down the temperature
The flood prone areas
The dwellers will stay alert
Afraid of the rising tide
Afraid to get the floods
Every year the old flame returns
Coming back to haunt the places
Once it had the free flow
Now diverted or changed its course
The old flame is angry
Causing the floods to rise
Telling all and sundry
The payback time will always return
