The light still shines
In the world where darkness runs
The political divide and condemnation
It is because of amok politicians
The darkness creeps
Slowly into our lives
It never makes a sound
Wake up we are in for sorrow
We can't see a thing
The darkness hit in our minds
The little light we hope to cherish
It flickers in the back-ground
The rolling thunder of rockets
The siren of police cars rushing by
The eyes watch with fear
As darkness closes in on the light
Lucky for us the light still shines
Putting up a brave front against the darkness
Will it hold long enough to see the change?
In our minds we don't want live shadows
