The matchmakers
We don't find them around
They have disappeared from our scene
It will be nice to help singles find partners
During my years in my village
I heard stories about the matchmakers
My mother used to talk about them
She did try to help her sister to fix her date
But my 6th aunty got cold feet
On the day of her meet she refused to come
Though the man came without seeing her
It was a disappointment for my mother
The matchmakers
Though they could make couples to meet
Sometimes they never got married
But life still carrying on
