The public rest-rooms
Walk to any town or city
The deplorable condition in it
We had seen it all using the facility
Even today we will see read
The complaints from local or foreign tourists
Through the years much had been written and discussed
But the local authorities sitting cool in the office
Though many have contracted out
Yet the condition in the public rest-rooms
Still crying to get it clean and in top condition
Even in airports we may still come across the wet floors
The minister should know
It isn't a subject he knew yesterday
It is good he walked about checking public rest-rooms
The local authorities must do the spot checks often
The public rest-rooms
The civic consciousness lacking with the public
They think they don't need to clean at all
They can do as they like at will
