The monitor lizard
Lazing around the garden
Hiding in the palm trees
For days it plays its game
It refuses to leave
Though it knows
There is no welcoming sign
It has to go
Today it shows its presence
Showing it doesn't care at all
Staring with its eyes
“You think I care?”
An iron rod whacks the monitor lizard
It realizes too late there is no escape plan
Within seconds it kisses its life goodbye
But at least it can have a new image in the next life
The monitor lizard dead today
It may come from the underground drain
Because the whole area is covered with tar road
Once there was a snake let it go safely
