If we aren't good in English
We can't compete in the borderless world
Face the facts squarely and be humble with it
It isn't too late to change the trend
Even Japan and China
The governments encourage English to the people
Master English to compete globally
Don't be a champion at home!
If we want to make an impact in the world
Master English to hunt the world's wealth
Don't stay inside a coconut shell
Dreaming of building castles in the air!
As it is now the education standards are low
The government even lower the grade to pass
Allowing the Malays to jump the grade
But who will suffer in later years?
Now the trend is learning Mandarin
China is the oasis of wealth to make
If we are masters in English and Mandarin
We can travel to work with ease of passage
Malay language can be used at home
As a bridge for conversation in the coffee shops
On the streets and villages maybe in government offices
Though the civil servants should speak in English in return
But the political elites
Can't afford to change the system
They want to be the leader of the people
They learn the languages but only one for the masses
