Bar Council walks
Nothing on December 9
The marching band decides to sing
In the Central Market
The Constitution allows
The freedom to express
Words and action including rallies
To say a piece peacefully
Now the walk gone to the wind
Leaving many sleepless nights
What will happen to the ordinary?
When the learned lawyers can’t fight back
The draconian pressures
Subtlety binds the Bar Council soul
Now the ruling elite smile
“See you dance to my tune alright!”
The marching band in Central Market
Singing sad songs and many cry
The walk for rights has been cut
Now let’s dance in our backyards
